Be a
part of our plan of action
Our regional trailways are growing
at the rate of approximately 10 miles a year. It’s a steady
pace, but at the current rate of development it will take more than
50 years to complete the additional 510 miles of planned trailways
in West Michigan.
Our goal is to boost that rate
of development five-fold.
With land acquisition, engineering,
grading, paving, and the building of boardwalks and bridges factored
in, each mile of trail costs approximately $180,000 to complete.
By donating to the West Michigan Trails
and Greenways Coalition you can help to increase the rate of trailway
development from the current 10 miles per year to 50. The total cost,
$90,000,000 according to the latest estimates, may seem daunting.
But with your contribution, along with federal, state and local funding,
we believe the goal is realistic.
Help to ensure a healthy and sustainable
future for the communities and people of West Michigan. Become a Pathfinder.
You’ll be glad you did.

The West Michigan Trails and Greenways
Coalition is a non-profit group of like-minded donors, organizations
and volunteers who are dedicated to developing non-motorized trails
and greenways into a linked system that connects wilderness areas,
parks, historic landmarks and cultural sites throughout West Michigan.
We believe, that by connecting our communities, we can reconnect with
each other and build something sustainable for future generations
to enjoy. We invite you to become an active participant in this important
venture by contributing money, time or expertise as a Pathfinder.
